What personal data this site uses, why, and your rights under the GDPR.
Who is responsible
Carla Maria Cardoso Soares de Almeida, Belmonte Atmospheres. Email: hello@belmonteatmospheres.com. Full postal details are in our Impressum.
What we use and why
- Visiting the site. Our host, Squarespace (Squarespace Ireland Limited), records technical data such as your IP address, browser and the pages you open, to deliver and secure the site. Basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
- Cookies. Essential cookies keep the site working and need no consent (§ 25 (2) TDDDG). Statistics cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner (§ 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), and you can change your choice at any time.
- Fonts. Adobe Fonts (Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited) receives your IP address when your browser loads our fonts. Basis: our legitimate interest in a consistent design (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
- Newsletter. If you sign up, we use your first name and email address to send you news about our guides and tools, through Kit (Kit, LLC, USA). You are only added after you click the link in a confirmation email. Basis: your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Unsubscribe any time with the link in every email.
- Orders. ThriveCart LLC and your payment provider (for example Stripe or PayPal) process your name, email, billing address and payment to complete your order. Basis: the contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) and our tax duties (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).
- Emails to us. We use your message and address to reply. Basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR.
- Our tools. The READ tools and Will It Fit? run in your browser and send nothing to us. The READ tools save your answers in your browser's local storage on your own device (§ 25 (2) TDDDG). The Clear button removes them.
Transfers outside the EU
Squarespace, Adobe, Kit and ThriveCart may process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Only as long as needed for the purpose above: newsletter data until you unsubscribe, emails until your request is dealt with, and order records for as long as German tax law requires (up to 10 years).
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, a portable copy, or object to processing (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR), and withdraw any consent at any time. Email hello@belmonteatmospheres.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority, such as the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA).
